Feb 26, 2007 7:55AM PST

Hi i have a seagate 250gb external hard drive one with an on/off push button, and it has recently stopped working. When i plug in the power cable the green light on the power box thing blinks on and off, but when i take it out of the hard drive the light stays a constant green ive tried the power cable on other things and it works ive also tried other cables on the hard drive but get the same results any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

(NT) Did you try a new USB enclosure?

Not tried that

No ive not tried that, but the hard drive is under warranty so i can just take it back and get it replaced if the problem isnt easy to fix. Im guessing that a new usb enclosure would void my warranty then?

Some don't have the exchange option since they need to recover files.
