My experience with Aplus.net over the weekend.

I decided to go with Aplus.net to host one of my domains. As I was filling out the forms, my CC information, I had an instant sudden change of mind as to the name of the domain I wanted them to host. I clicked their sign-up form's back button to change the domain name, and sure enough I receive e-mails from them along with a payment invoice. I look at my online CC statement this morning (PayPal credit card), and it shows a charge of $15.95USD. So I chat live with a CSR rep. online today...

Visitor67969: I did, but the problem is I hit the form's back button to change my domain name, and it signed me up anyways, and charged me regardless.

gregt: also we can cancel only the domain name

gregt: there is no charge

gregt: you will sign up for the whole year with us
gregt: If you say we billed you I will pay the web hosting for you for one year
gregt: Do you agree
Visitor67969: Think I'll pass on gambling. I can just wait a few days, if Aplus doesn't refund my money I will contact my credit card company and make sure they do.

Did I make a mistake..?

I don't know if my mistake was saying it was a "billing" or "Charge". To me they are the same thing. Irregardless, my PayPal account total is $15.95 lower.

The thing that got me the most was "want to make a bet?" -- that is just completely unprofessional... Wow...

I decided to go to 1&1 today, and my oh my...what a MISTAKE!..that I didn't choose 1&1 first! I think I found a webhoster for life.

Still no refund yet. I'm calling my CC company.

And I agree with you. I was apalled by the "Lets do a bet"...I felt like a 12 year old kid was running this Aplus.net company.
