In short, it wasn't you getting hacked. It was much bigger than that!!!
Frankly? Can I be blunt?
Why are folk depending on such services? That is, why aren't you on your own server run by your own IT on a secure platform?

I hope I can ask this hear. I use an IMac OS10.6.8.
I am part of international conference committee. Our Yahoo Mail was hacked yesterday.
Spam email was sent using our yahoo mail account. Originated in Nigeria. We've changed password.
We've lost ALL our IN and SENT emails and 600 name contact list for a conference this year. This seriously jeopardizes our conference.
Cannot send ONE email due to "suspicious activity". Have reported this to Yahoo Help online. No one has replied. No new emails received.
How can we access our emails?
How to restore our contact list asap?
There must be a way! Suggestions?
