my DVD+RW discs will not format

ok i put a few files on them and they will not format....ive tried various formatting software as well as formattiong it on different comuters and it will not format so i dont know y this is happening if anyone can help i would appreciate it

They sound defective.

Try someone else's DRD+RW discs.

(NT) What OS are you running and what DVD SW are you using ?

windows xp the discs are memorex ive used these to try to format them


nero
clone cd
incd
roxio
alcohol 120
and many more

Just one thing. Some of these don't format media.

For instance...

"nero
clone cd
roxio
alcohol 120"

Do not have a format command. InCD does as well as DirectCD in roxio.

What are you trying to do here?

what im trying to do is

what i want to do is delete the data off of the discs so i can reuse them becuase i am now done with the data that is on them and do not need it anymore

I have Roxio V8.2XE and under 'Tools' it has an 'Erase RW '

disc feature. Did you try that ?

In CDBURNERXP (it's free too) there is an Erase button.

It appears the word "format" is what is tripping you up. Look for "erase."

well ive tried it on other software but not roxio yet ill give it a shot
