Good question.

I went to the LG site and found NO EXACT SPECIFICATION for the video encoding.

I found "DivX" and "MPEG4" but those have some dozens of standards.

This means you will have to call it in or experiment till you find it.

What I would try next is HANDBRAKE and try it's MPEG4 encoding.

Just wondering. Would you be desperate enough to type HANDBRAKE at google to find out more?

He shouldn't have to be desperate enough to.........

type HANDBRAKE into Google to find out more. If you're going to answer a question, answer it intelligently, without causing additional questions. If you can't do that, then don't attempt to answer.

The word HANDBRAKE will bring up millions of unrelated searches, and some people, through no fault of their own, are not familiar with software, so they won't know what they're looking for. So instead of providing half an answer, and then failing at a cleverly sarcastic reply, just answer the question completely and intelligently enough the first time. Are you desperate enough to do that??????? Otherwise, remain silent, instead of speaking up and removing all doubt.......

If folk are unwilling to help themselves they may want to take such things to service counters where they can catered to.

Newer members make such demands.

HandBrake is an open-source program designed to convert MPEG video (including DVD-Video) into an MPEG-4 video file in MPEG-4 Part 14 (.mp4) or Matroska (.mkv) containers.
The program is used to convert DVDs into other forms so they can be viewed on iPods, iPhones and with the Apple QuickTime Player[1] and most media players.

But did you try other formats? And do they list the supported formats?
