my dv9000 wont display anything!!! help!

by strange1889 / August 15, 2007 9:18 AM PDT

i just got this laptop a week ago & after i shut it down today it wont display anything!

it will boot, i can hear the HD spinning, the CD/DVD drive laser movin, the exhaust fan spins everything lights up but nothing is displayed on the screen. i dont hear the beep that i usually hear when i am prompted for the boot password, the quickplay buttons now beep again ( i turned that featue off in bios) & the touchpad on/off button has no response.

i've tried the restore disks both sets (the ones that i made & the ones from HP) i tried reseating everything no luck... i called them they said send it back but i really need it right now. its still under warranty but i really cant be w/o it come monday. any ideas?

Specs:
Win XP SP2
Core 2 T7200 (2.0 Ghz)
2GB @ 997Mhz RAM
100Gb Fujitsu HD @ 5400 RPM
HP dv9000

thank you all

Doesn't sound to me like you have it now. Send it back.
