Question

My desktop is lagging while I run PC games.

Aug 4, 2016 10:49AM PDT

I have built my pc and specs are:
Intel Core i7-3770k CPU @ 3.50GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
RAM: 24GB
Windows 10 64bit (up to date)

But there are big FPS drop when I run games, as Overwatch, Dyinglight, Call of Duty.
I never had this kind of problem, but now the fps drop is so bad that it is intolerable.
What could be the problem? and how would I fixt it?

Odd that FPS is tied to ping.

Not here. Odd.

The only reasons I know of is that frame rate is variable. This really upsets folk new to PC gaming. That is, it's well known that it drops when you go into a more complex scene.

I had a client that didn't get it and they are now into a pair of Titans.

Which Power Supply Do You Have?
Aug 9, 2016 10:59AM PDT

Can you tell us the exact brand and model of your power supply, please? It's possible for a power supply to be rated at 600 watts but, if not well made, it can "sag" when put under stress of gaming.

Internet is fine.

Ping is normally at 20~30. I believe the internet speed would not be the issue.
