my desktop icons pictures have all moved around

Today when I started my cp the desktop icons changed. Yahoo mail has my norton symbol, Norton has my Ares symbol, Internet explorer has my yahoo mail symbol, etc. I've tried to delete them. Then bring them up on programs right click and create shortcut, but the wrong symbol still appears. Please HELP!!!!
