In MSCONFIG you can change this to 8 if you wish.
Be sure your BIOS is correct and motherboard and possibly CPU drivers are up to date. These are from your motherboard maker, not Microsoft! Folk are still trying to get by with Microsoft's poor broken driver update. Hey, it doesn't work for most of us.
https://community.amd.com/thread/215122 kicks it around more. I think in this case if MSCONFIG along with BIOS updates and settings doesn't cut it you have to ask the motherboard maker WHY?
One day ago i upgrade from i3 4160 to Ryzen 5 1500x.The i3 4160 is 2 cores and 4 threads.Ryzen 5 1500x is 4 cores and 8 threads.When i am opening task menager is saying that my Ryzen 5 1500x has got 2 cores and 4 threads and in other programs!I dont know the problem.and in msconfig the max of processors are 4.Please help me how to fix this bug.Sorry for the Englsih:D
