My CPU led light isn't lighting up and it won't post. Help?

Sep 7, 2016 6:54AM PDT

I have a Asus z170-a. The CPU fan, graphics card, etc all run, or at least appear to. But my CPU led light doesn't come on, and my computer won't post. Does anyone know why?

Something wrong with the motherboard, the CPU or (maybe) the RAM. Replace the broken component(s) after diagnosis.
