Some of necessary conditions for proper hibernate functioning:
Use latest BIOS version.
Motherboard drivers should be installed.
Check for latest device drivers.
Even if the above are met, hibernate could be broken. It's an old problem, so when it works, it works. Sometimes it works intermittently. There is no miraculous cure for this.

Recently and without warning my computer stopped comming out of hibernate. It boots then freezes at hte end of the loading sequence. On resart it boots normally if I delete restoorationb info. and continue.
I've done a full virus scan, restored system to a time before the problem and even loaded a backup of windows folder from before this started. I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem, but I also can't keep the volume control in the taskbar; it disappears after any restart. This is actually why I was hibernating so often.
