My Computer (Not Responding)

by markda12 / December 15, 2004 12:06 PM PST

Whenever I RIGHT-CLICK > EXPLORE My Computer it pops a dialog box but is VERY slow at populating the right-hand pane with all my drives and devices, and when they finally do come up clicking on either pane causes a "Not Responding" error and I have to end program. Anyone else having this problem or had this problem that can help?
TIA

I noticed there are no replies yet. I'm waiting with sweaty palms. There are bound to be others out there
with the same thing happening to them.

Somebody..................help!

When I click on "My Computer" a blank screen comes
up slowly then I get the error message that My
Computer is not responing.

I'm almost sorry I've got XP, at least with Win98
I was used to my glitches.

"My Computer" fixed itself
by dln / January 6, 2005 12:24 AM PST

My Computer Guru commented, as follows:

"When you installed the broadband yesterday (or any other) program, the system reviewed itself and corrected any problems it noted. Also: Get free Ad-Aware Personal SE. These are non-destructive "viruses" that slow down and kill certain functions in your system it allowed to live there."

Good Luck with "Explorer"
