My computer is not recognizing a memory card

Dec 28, 2004 11:38PM PST

About a year ago I installed an 80gig memory card ~ not a problem. Yesterday I gave my hard drive a clean sweep (lots of junk builds up) and now it can't find the memory card. What should I do? I am not much of a "guru" with this, so any help would be great. Happy Thanks.

Thanks for your help - I guess I was asking the wrong question - it is not a memory card, but an additional hard drive. When I formatted my hard drive I didn't wipe out partitions and ended up with a fat32. I went back and did it again only using the xp disc and erased all partitions - now i am reading the 80 gigz. i also went and renamed my disc drive and new hard drive and formatted it. thanks again Happy
