Hi ... I just posted something about Mozilla Firefox 3.6 that I am absolutely in love with. I was having the SAME problem ... mostly it was an EXPLORER BROWSER THING and I had to keep going in and resetting the Explorer which I did through TOOLS (while online) ... ONLINE OPTIONS ... ADVANCED ... OPTIONS ... then RESET (it will say something like "click this button to set back to basic settings and if your computer is acting nutty [not the real words of course].
After I would do this, it might be ok for a while ... my son had this very same problem a few nights later and it helped him.
I tell you straight ... I am no guru ... just another user who is as frustrated as you sound. I think it might help.
I also changed from Vista 64 to Windows 7 so I don't know if that makes a difference. I sure hope this helps you. I don't think you can go wrong by downloading another browser & trying it while you keep Explorer as a backup. I had to get rid of Google Chrome ... it really messed up my machine. Sorry Google ... I love your search engine!
Let me know if any of this helps.
Hi, I'm new to the forums and searched around to see if anyone was having a similar problem but couldnt find anyone that was experiencing exactly what I am at the moment...
My computer stats are below and I have had this computer for a year and half... Its works GREAT except for this one problem. It constantly hangs up about every 15 seconds or so and it does this all the time regardless of what program I am running. If the computer is on, its constantly hanging (or maybe stuttering is a better word) about every 15 seconds. Each stutter or hang up lasts for anywhere from less than a second to sometimes as much as 5 seconds when its really bad.
It has done this pretty much since I got it... I should have dealt with it then (with the warranty) but it was so minor that I wasnt worried about it, but it has gotten worse now to the point of being very aggravating.
For example, when I click on a new web page it might hang just for a second and freeze as its loading, then immediately release and the page loads up immediately...
...Or another example is when I am typing a Word docment, when it hangs I can keep typing but no words are appearing on the screen, but as soon as the stutter is over the words appear really fast and catch up to where ever I have progressed to. Its even doing this as I type this message out.
Can anyone give me some insight on where I should begin to look to fix this problem. Thanks in advance.
