I've had my Mit 53725 for 3 weeks and love it....The Super Bowl looked great.
I just replace the CableCard with a set-top box. The reason I replaced the CC was that it took too long between channels, even with HD, I still like to surf the channels. There were also times where a specific channels wouldn't tune-in. The time lag and the periodic tuning issue convinced me that the CC technology was still immature.
The Comcast service has alway met or exceeded my expectation.

I've found some the the discussions here helpful, so I thought that I would relate my experience with getting HD. About 4 weeks ago I got a Hitachi 42 V710 RP LCD TV. So far it's a great TV. It had the CableCard feature which was what I wanted. We already had Comcast Expanded Basic cable service at our house (Washington State) so we made the call to have the HDTV service added. I tried to do it online, but after spending 45 minutes trying to get to the right place, I was finally informed that I would have to call Comcast and set up the appointment. No problem, so I called them and the operator was nice enough to set up an appointment the next week. I didn't want their Comcast Digital Cable package, all I wanted was the cable card. The posted rate for HDTV was $5 a month for the rental of the set top box. I assumed that if I didn't get the set top box, I would still be charged $5 a month for the CableCard. But the operator said that there would only be the set up fee for coming out, but no monthly extra charge. (I still don't know if this is true, but I'm not asking any more questions). So anyway, the day before they were supposed to come out, they called and said that they were all out of CableCard's and would have to reschedule. Tne next time they could come out would be 2 weeks later. Well, that would be okay, I was still enjoying the 42 inch screen.
So, they finally came out and brought the CableCard, only when they put it in, it would not work. The installer thought that it would take a few minutes for our account to be recognized by the system, we were in que for recognition by the Comcast system. Well, we waited for about 45 minutes, and nothing. So, he tried a few things, like checking the signal strength, and calling several of his coworkers, and no luck (this was the first CableCard this technician was installing) We decided, maybe this was a faulty card. So, we had to reschedule, another visit, a week later. Next time they would bring 2 cards out. That was 2 days ago. It's finally working, sort of. The last technician finally figured out that the signal we were receiving from the wall was not strong enough, He had to do some rewiring from the outside box in order to get a strong enough signal. The picture is great. Everything I thought it would be. We still don't get ESPN which was supposed to be in the lineup and I haven't had time to call them on it. It took about 4 weeks, and I have no idea how much it is all going to cost in the end, but we finally have HDTV.
