Mar 31, 2018 9:27PM PDT

I use windows 8 and my laptop is from TOSHIBA. My problems is that everytime i connect my laptop to internet, i open the chrome, the chrome took a long time to respond. And when i open microsoft word, its not responding or stuck for few minutes. How can i solve this problem on my own? Or do i need help from expert?

First open the processes tab of task manager, sort on CPU use descending. Then start those programs and see what happens with the top-5 processes.

The common causes for an issue like this are:
- other unwanted programs using the resources of the PC
- bad hard disk

Do you have a video or detail instruction because i'm lost.

For Windows that is the detailed instruction.

Maybe it's time for some basic Windows courses?

Start at https://www.google.com/search?q=youtube+basic+windows+training+task+manager

Also, do you know about google and YouTube for searching and videos on just about any subject?
I'm encountering very new owners that didn't know either.

Don't forget to check the box saying "Show processes from all users".
