I'm assuming I need a driver? Not picking up CD's when I insert. Can someone help?

After checking if the power and data cable are still OK, I assume you need a new drive, not a new driver.
And, no we can't help with that. It's not too difficult to do it yourself, but if you prefer to have it done by a shop, do that. A good alternative might be to buy an external one that you connect via USB.

CD / DVD drivers are needed to be kept up to date in order to work efficiently.Out of date or missing drivers can result in problems with your CD/DVD devices. What you can do now is re-install the driver via device manager.
The Windows CD/DVD driver hasn't been updated in years. Only your newest support folk would write this.

Since, you didn't provide any info, I suggest you get a new or swap out the drive with a known good one. For all intents and purposes, if you never had a problem or it seems to be a nagging and finally it doesn't work, get that new drive. Of course, if you hadn't used a lens cleaner or drivbe cleaner, it maybe worth to do now.
