Sounds like a warranty issue. Find the receipt and such then call it in.

No receipt?

Sorry.

I read it was new. If it's an old camcorder now you have to decide if it's worth getting repaired. In closing, look on google for a MANUAL. See if there is any "Reset" feature to try.

Thanks

In reply to: Sorry.

Whilst it is new i meant old liek it was hiding in my basement somewhere because my dad missplaced it. So it was never used and still has never been used:)

What needs to be said.

In reply to: Thanks

It doesn't matter that it was never used. Parts like electrolytic capacitors, batteries (many camcorders had 2!) and such still degrade with time. Please don't call old gear new or else members may just reply to take it back or deal with the warranty.

Ddint i say it was old?

No you didn't.

Your first post called it new. I took your word for it.

Now that's out of the way I have offered 2 do-it-yourself ideas.

1. The other battery. Many camcorders had 2.
2. The reset. You find the manual and see if yours has such.

After that you get an estimate for repairs.
