My browsers keep freezing

I have a PC. I have my regular browser that my boyfriend uses and I have Safari (on the same computer) that I use. They are BOTH freezing really badly. I mean if you are online for more than 10-15 minutes with out it freezing your doing well. It doesn t matter what Im doing online or what site Im on either. Now, it is my browsers only. My computer is not freezing, JUST the browsers. I have ran both Ad-Aware and Spybot. Didnt make a differnce. Any ideas???

Browser freezing.

In reply to: Velvet,

Okay. Wow! I had ran my spyware/adaware/anti-virus stuff all 3 times with no changes when I wrote this earlier tonight. then I just went ahead and ran my best one one more time. It came up with a Trojan and its now working fine! So sweet! Thanks anyways guys.
Oh and for anyone reading with the same problem, it was the free version of AVG Anti-virus (free version) that finally found the problem.

Safe mode

In reply to: Browser freezing.

I remember once trying one of my malware programs in safe mode. I'd already run it in normal mode, but just for kicks...

It found something in safe mode that didn't show up in normal mode. Might try that sometime.
