Apr 12, 2018 7:45AM PDT

I was working in Adobe Photoshop when I went to print something I came back and my laptop screen was off power indicator was off but the caplocks key light was on. The laptop started to really hot the fan was not on so I though it was dead. I left it to cool down for a hour. When I plug it in to charge it i did not turn on and the charging light was off too. The laptop started to get warm. I need help

Some want a fix.

But there's a thing I always try with a non-responsive laptop first. It's free and does not affect files so here's the short version.

Power off, remove charger, remove big battery and then press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. Release the power button, slip in the battery, apply the charger and test.

If this fails the machine needs repair. Also, not a Windows issue since Windows is not running yet.

Charger/battery problem?

I wonder if you have tried using a different battery. I know not all of us have batteries lying around, but if you have the option, try that. The same with the charger. If you have a different charger, try switching it for the one you were using. If that does not help, it is likely that R. Proffitt is right in advising you to take the machine to repairs.
