Did you try a new fan along with the usual work while you're inside (cleaning, heat sink compound?)
Bob
Hello, thank you for taking time to read this. I have a problem with my ASUS laptop
A) I have a ASUS k42jc laptop (Win 7 32///2 GB Ram///2.4 Ghz) and for three months my laptop starts to get really noisy. It's already 3 years old but it only started to have this problem this year. I had it cleaned and found out that the unit is really dirty but the noise is still there. (I tried on solution posted on other websites about changing something with the registry (power) but another person said it might cause the laptop to overheat)
B) Aside from that, I experience a black screen (while loading windows screen (the sky blue one which indicates the OS version, not in the animated windows logo part) ) for a split second and then it will return back to the windows 7 screen but I can log on to my Windows.
C) And another problem is that my unit doesn't recognize my nVidia (geforce 350m) video card (I get code 10 'the device cannot start' and 'the device isn't using any resources because it has a problem'). The weird thing is if my OS if 64bit, it works perfectly fine BUT even if I download and use drivers of nVidia for 32 bit, I can't even log on to my Windows screen.)
D) Sometimes my computer freezes, then unfreezes after 5 seconds then I hear a beep sound. I did a memtest but is says that there are no problems. (If it was a RAM problem).
I posted all my problems because I'm not sure if these are related with each other.
Got a lot of problems. I hope you could help me. Thank you! ![]()
