My Adaware discovery

Aug 2, 2004 11:09AM PDT

I discovered that running Adaware in safe mode will get things it wont get in normal mode. Im wondering if thats true with Spybot and other programs.

Anyway, I ran Adaware on my wifes puter in normal mode. It found a couple of data miners. I saw a little item where it suggested running it in safe mode, so I did that, and found a number of other things, including a registry change.

Maybe you could try it the normal way, first, then do it in safe mode, just to for the heck of it, to see what you missed the first time. That is, if you have any malware on your puter.
