Mutiple graphics cards

I'm looking to build a computer for school, and I'm wondering if it is possible to have a NVidia Quadro fx card and a Geforce card on the same computer. I'm majoring in animation and I want to be able to take full advantage of autodesk Maya 2011, but I also want to be able to do a little bit of gaming. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.
