Must reboot each time I want to burn audio cd on WMP 11

by obsessed / October 15, 2007 5:54 AM PDT

windows xp, sp2, Windows Media Player 11. This is a new problem, my burners worked fine with WMP 11 before. But lately every time I make a burn list on the player, it tells me to connect a burner and restart the player. But my burners ARE connected, recognized by other programs, and used to be recognized by WMP as well. I restart the player, but only rebooting the computer seems to work. When I reboot, I open the player and right away both burners appear and tell me how much room I have on the blank cds with my playlist ready to go. What do I have to clear out of memory in order to get the burners recognized without having to reboot?
