When I was trying to click onto my Musicmatch Jukebox icon, a box named Error Starting Program appeared saying A Required .DLL file, MMGIT.DLL, was not found. What do I do? I have an HP computer with ME. Please help. Thank you.

If I Uninstall and reinstall the program will I lose all the music I have saved in my playlist? Thank you.
Yes, you will lose your playlist. That's no biggie, since all a MUSICMATCH playlist is a list of files to be accessed from elsewhere on the hard drive and can be rebuilt.
I am assuming here that your Mp3's are NOT in the MUSICMATCH folder. If they are, then copy them to a folder outside the MUSICMATCH folder (I use C:\MyMusic) or to burn them to CD as Mp3's.
There are also ways to copy those playlists to CD or whatever and replace them after the reinstallation of MUSICMATCH. See http://www.musicmatch.com/info/user_guide/manage_music.htm and click on the FAQ about backing up misic/data files for more info.
Hope this helps!
Paul C. thanks for the info. At least this gives me a starting point in learning how to backup my information. I know it's something important to do but I never came close to losing anything before. It's the "closing the barn door after the horse gets out" excuse. Thanks again.

"Re:Loss.
Yes, I admit that I don't backup my stuff because I have never learned how. Can you give me some info on the subject? As to my original problem, I uninstalled and reinstalled MMJ and while holding my breath, I did get everything back. But I still need to learn how to backup. Thank you for your help.
