Do you know what format the Apple phone play? What music is on the PC that you want to transfer (Apple itune music)?

About format.

iTunes accepts a lot of audio formats. I'd stick with "use iTunes" for such work.

I stay away anything that's Apple.

I know songs bought from Apple don't just play on any devices. They want you to jump through hoop.

Think of the OP.

They have an iPhone so the easy way to load content is iTunes. Some may disagree here so what else would you use?

I don't know if this is the case with OP or not, but...

Back in the early days, iTunes and Apple used DRM. Today, I don't see that issue.
