I have a brand new Dell E1505 laptop, with 2GB Ram, 160 GB hard disk, running Windows Vista Home Premium. When I play an MP3 file in WMP 11, occasionally the music will stutter, as if there was not enough memory (which of course there is). Same thing happens when I play a DVD. Changing media players does not help, nor does rebooting the system. It's very annoying, and I never had this problem running Windows XP on my old Dell with only 512 MB Ram. I'm wondering if this is a bug with Windows Vista, or is there something I can do to tell the system to run WMP more efficiently?
