Music in pause between selections on MP3 burns

Re: Musicmatch V9 and V10, I'm seeing a very disturbing short couple bars of loud music on newly burned CD's in the pause space between selections on burns for mp3 files recorded at 90 variable bit rate. Has anyone else seen this too? Any suggestions?
