Music and video players

by cowboygoheen / March 16, 2009 5:20 AM PDT

I'm new to linux and learning as I go, but I've had little success with trying to find a way to get my music player and slide shows on myspace to function...
HELP!
THANK YOU,

If you haven't already, you need to install the Flash Player plugin. If you are on 64-bit, you need either Adobe's 64-bit Flash Player, or the 32-bit plugin with "nspluginswrapper"*

Which distribution are you using?

*Read carefully: nspluginswrapper, not ndiswrapper

Here is where my ignorance shows- I am currently running Ubuntu 8.1, I'm not aware of which/what distributer I'm using. I've been on linux for 2 months and only just got my updates installed in the past couple of days.
I will try both of your suggestions and thank you kindly for your continued help and support.
