I can't claim to be an expert, so a grain of salt here . . .
have you in fact installed the proper drivers for your motherboard video AND the installed card? standard VGA drivers may not do it.
do both monitors (or at least their graphics cards) show up in device manager? are the drivers installed, no yellow exclamation points?
did you enable both monitors in control panel/ display /settings/ advanced?
and of course, sometimes the hardware just doesn't get along . . .
that's all I know - fj
I have an Intel 2.6 with 512MB...the onboard display adapter is Intel 82865G using 64MB...
There's also an empty video slot...I have a spare Radeon video card w/ 32MB on it--I plugged it into the slot and plugged in an extra monitor. When I rebooted, just the 2nd monitor in the slot was up--the one plugged into the motherboard was blank and did not show up at all in the display properties box.
What do I need to do to configure 2 monitors [same desktop]? Do I need a special card?
And the specs of my machine say it supports dual monitors...I just don't know how! [there's only one port on the integrated card...]
Thanks...
