Question

Multi View function for HDMI1 and 2 LG 43UH6030

Hi, I'm trying to use my Nvidia Shield TV which is connected to HDMI 1 and my laptop, which is connected to HDMI 2 in the Multi View Function on my LG Smart TV. One side of the screen will show either the HDMI hookups but the other screen only gives the option for Live TV or AV connection...the HDMI connections are all grayed out. Is there away to get those so they are not grayed out and be able to use the HDMI connections instead of Live TV?

TV App and HDMI input?

In reply to: Multi View function for HDMI1 and 2 LG 43UH6030

Can you use the multi view with a TV app like Netflix and an HDMI input instead of 2 HDMI inputs?

That sounds right.

Maybe I read it wrong but that's what it said it would do in the manual.

But it doesn't work that way

Yes, that is what it says on the online manual but it doesn't seem to work that way when you try it in real time. Even LG support sends the same instructions as the online manual but you cannot hookup 2 hdmi devices and have them be in multi view.

Now I'm confused.

At your top post what you wrote happened looks to be what I expected as well as what I scanned in the manuals.

If you feel the manual is incorrect, back to LG to correct that.

Re: Multi-View

This is because you have one device connected as SIMPLELINK(HDMI-CEC). Unless u turn it off.

Press Settings
Go to General
Go to SIMPLELINK(HDMI-CEC)
If it is turned on, switch it off.

Go to multi-view again. I hope it is solved.
