multi page tiffs to single page files

by Maggy / May 22, 2004 9:30 PM PDT

I own some huge muti-page tiff files. Who knows a simple and preferrably fast way to cut them into a pile of single page tiffs or jpeg's?

Irfanview will do it. View>MultipageImages>Extract all pages.

Thanks, good advice, but not for me. It makes BMP's, that would cost me more harddisk space than I have free. The Tiffs are already huge. Unfortunately it only offers the option to extract all pages at once. If I could do 100 pages at a time, I could convert them to jpeg and continue with the next 100...
Anybody has any other suggestions?

How huge are they? I used both Irfanview and XnView to split up a 56MB 20 page tiff into a folder and in both cases the folder was 44 MB, smaller than the original.

Both programs can then convert the bmp files to any format you desire in batch.

Multi page TIFs to single page files, new IrfanView v3.92
by ChuckT / August 23, 2004 3:46 PM PDT

OK, the creator of IrfanView, has come through with a new version, v3.92 that will extract all the pages of multipage TIFs (or LDFs or JPMs) to any of 18 different format outputs (BMPs, GIFs, JPGs, TIFs, etc.).

So, there you go.
Yeah IrfanView!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
