General discussion

multi-language functions in linux distributions

Mar 6, 2005 12:46PM PST

I was wondering if anyone knows which linux distributions allow for the use of multi-language inputs? I am specifically interested in using a number of asian lanaguages and was wondering if any distributions might have something akin to MS's ime function?

Thanks

What I mean by multiple-langauge input is....

My work requires me to not only read, but also write in Korean, Chinese and Japanese. MS has the ime system which allows you to install the languages you want and then switch between them for inputing. I was wondering if any of the Linux distrobutions might have the same facility. If not, then the chances of me migrating to Linux, even though I would love to get away from MS, are slim.
