General discussion

MSNBC, race card, Obamacare.

Mar 20, 2010 5:06PM PDT

If you don't vote for Obamacare, you are a racist. That's the implication MSNBC is pushing. The myopic vision of MSNBC reporting. A lot of news organizations give the reporter's name. Not AP. That's too bad because by knowing who a reporter is, you can check on other stories he's done and see if he has a strong bias in all his stories, or not. What's AP hiding?

"You all in the minority know what the American people think," Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., said loudly and mockingly at Republicans repeatedly saying the public overwhelmingly opposes Obama's health care bill.

Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, said a tricky voting procedure Democrats had been contemplating "corrupts and prostitutes the system" and would "unleash a cultural war in this country."

"I heard people saying things today that I have not heard since March 15, 1960, when I was marching to try to get off the back of the bus," Clyburn told reporters.

Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., who is gay, said protesters shouted "abusive things" to him as he walked from the Longworth building to the Rayburn building. "It's a mob mentality that doesn't work politically," he said.

MSNBC is extremely biased.

Everything the lefties accuse Fox News of being, MSNBC really is in spades. They are to all intents an organ of the DNC.

Olbermann and Maddow in particular do nothing but spread lies and propaganda.

It's getting strange...
Mar 21, 2010 5:45AM PDT

It's getting strange. I noticed the quotes in the story by Carson,
"It was like going into the time machine with John Lewis" and "He said it reminded him of another time.".
Lewis if from Georgia, and something that just happened in the Georgia State Senate caused me to go into the time machine and remember something. I remember the "Motor Voter Act" (the National Voter Registration Act of 1993), which lets people apply to vote at the same time that they apply for a driver's license or seek to renew a driver's license. The DOJ web site says :
"Congress enacted the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (also known as the "NVRA" and the "Motor Voter Act"), to enhance voting opportunities for every American. The Act has made it easier for all Americans to register to vote and to maintain their registration."
O.K., let's take the time machine on a very short trip, to last week. The Georgia Senate just passed a bill that would allow voters to register online with the office of the Georgia Secretary of State. This would seem to be in line with the DOJ statement about enhancing voting opportunities for every American.
But the Democrats are against this bill. In Last Thursday's Atlanta paper Georgia State Senator Vincent Fort (D) was quoted as saying "We have plowed this ground before. SB 406 will have the impact of diluting the voting strength of people of color.".
Part of the new proposed bill's registration procedures uses Driver's license information for verification. This hits me as strange. With "Motor Voter", it's good, as it increases voting opportunities, but the same goal suddenly becomes "bad" when people who supported "Motor Voter" fear that a similar opportunity to get more people registered might enhance the opportunity of people who might not agree with their views.
As I said, strange turn of events, in my opinion.

Even stranger, maybe it's a LIE

Here's a video of the supposed event. Do you hear anything said to John Lewis and Andre Carson over all the chanting of "Kill the Bill"? I've listened several times and don't. Is there any video from any of the many cameras and news crews there which caught the alleged events?

More video of the walk. Hear it? Nope.
