MSN Remote Record Service

I have an HP Pavilion a1240n computer, with the HP Media Center 2005 software. I would like to record TV programs remotely. I signed up with Passport, took all steps, right up to the message: "MSN REmote Record Service successfully installed". The only step remaining is the REGISTRATION. I am unable to do that.
When checking the Connectivity, I get the message: "We are not able to contact your media Center PC."
Can anyone help me? Thank you very much.
