Resolved Question

MSN or Google Chrome

Nov 12, 2011 10:38PM PST

I usually use Chrome as my browser however when I logged on tonight MSN appeared as my browser, even though I went to the Start Menu and "opened' Google Chrome. Is this some new 'magic' from Microsoft? Sometimes though when I click on the tab behind the MSN page Chrome is behind it. But I don't want the MSN page at all, so how can I prevent it from appearing?
Thanks

Thanks Kees I did what you suggested and changed my home page back to Chrome, however I do not recollect even seeing MSN on my screen at any time! Murphy's Law I suppose. Same thing has happened a short time ago when Yahoo appeared from nowhere as my home page. Velly strange!

This sometimes happens when you install or update software. It's always a good idea to make sure you read and understand every screen you click through. You're usually presented with an opt out option on install however it's not always clear. I have experienced a programs "Check for updates" option download try to change the homepage as well. Here's one more. While signing up for a user forum it's offered to change my homepage.
