msn messenger on win 2000

Jul 14, 2005 11:12PM PDT

hey the shortcut to start messenger without opening the window is
"C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\msnmsgr.exe" /background. this way messenger will start as an icon. I have this shortcut on my desktop and I run it by setting a shortcut hotkey.

Is there a similar shortcut to exit messenger. for example:
"C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\msnmsgr.exe" /exit

Basically I want to be able to set a hotkey one way or the other that I can use to quickly terminate messenger without having to right click on the icon and hit exit.

there must be an application out there on the internet that can do this if i can't do it with windows 2000 alone.

thanks.
