msn messenger names

Aug 20, 2005 12:27AM PDT

ive been using msn messenger for a while now, and never had a problem until now. usually on the contacts list i have everyones usernames... but recently, in maybe the last week or so, i can only see their email addresses on the list.

for example: instead of seeing ''cool joe'' i see ''joebloggs@isp.com'' which is rather annoying as i dont know peoples email addresses - and there are loads of them all in one list!

how can i get it back to the way it was, ie to ''cool joe'' usernames??

i have tried uninstalling msn messenger and reinstalled it, but the same thing happens.

help! please :o)

minszki.

If the person is always offline while you are online, the email address will remain there until the are online when you are. It doesn't know what name they have typed in until you are both online at the same time

Hope this helps.
