MSN Messenger 7.0 Connectivity Problems

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone could help me. I've had Messenger 7.0 installed in my computer for months and it was running without a problem until two days ago. Everytime I log in, after a couple of minutes, it loses connectivity. I've tried removing it and downloding it again, I shut down my firewall, etc. My internet in general works fine. I just don't have an idea of what this problem may be. I've been told it has to do with some proxy settings, something like that (pardon me, I don't know much about computers). All my other messaging programs work properly. What do you guys suggest? Thanks!

I recommend you report this problem to Microsoft or MSN service.

They make the software, so they're the best to ask.

I already did, three times. I'm still waiting for an answer from them.
