MSN Groups Photo Upload Control

by MistressMina09 / December 14, 2004 3:03 PM PST

I am unable to download MSN Photo Upload Control. Everytime I click the install button, the message "The Control Failed To Install." I'm using a new HP computer (don't know much about makes, models, and such..I just know it's pretty new) I just have no clue how to get this thing to install. To use the "one at a time" method for adding pictures takes too much of my storage space. I couldn't even upload one of my drawings! Any help would be terrific..

Hi Mina
I have been an assistant manager at an MSN community group for a number of years and you are NOT alone with this problem. USUALLY it is an MSN glitch though and if you go back later or refresh the page a number of times, eventually it will work (usually). Here is one thing you can try though. In Internet Explorer go to tools/internet options. Half way down the page where it says "temporary internet files", click on "settings". When the new window pops up, click on "view objects". When the next window comes up, scroll down to where you see MSN Photo Upload Control (IF it is there). If it IS, Click on it to highlight it and go up to the top of the page and click on file/delete. Close everything out and try to download it again. You MAY have to refresh the window a few times to get it to work. This may or may not work but it has worked for a number of people that I know of. Good luck.

My directions to Mina were for downloading the photo upload tool, not for actually using it once you have it. You already have the tool. You have to follow the directions on the tool in order to use it.It's pretty self explanetory. Make sure you have a checkmark in the boxes of the photos you want to upload. I'm confused as to the actual problem that you are having, Can you describe exactly what is happening?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
