MSN and IE6 problem

by centaur38 / February 16, 2004 4:55 AM PST

Would be very grateful if someone can help.
evry time i log on to my hotmail account in MSN i get a page saying i am using a web browser that hotmail does not support and invites me to download IE6, when i click on download i get a page saying msxlm3.dll error '80072f76' the requested header was not found /library/toolbar/3.0/vb.asp.line34. I originally downloaded IE6sp1 from my windows XP disc onto my new computer so i dont know why msn keeps asking me to download it again, it is restricting me sending some emails with attatchments, any ideas please.

At this point, what's left is the other items such as pop-up stoppers, firewalls that are working too well and maybe a Windows update for IE that hasn't completed. You wrote you downloaded IE from the XP CD which is now out of date and may be why they are asking.

I'd try the reset web settings in IE's tools, internet options menus and reveiw http://www.webct.com/exchange/viewpage?name=exchange_browser_tuneup_windows_ie#prepare but in the end you may need to let it download.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
