There is not much that the forum can do except comiserate on the problems, but let's be clear that if you have a warranty or service issue and don't hit the phones, then you are suffering in silence.
1. MSN
MSN has its own army of support. MSN doesn't share it's support knowledge and so any real support only comes from their little world. Sometimes the forum here can help, but in your issue, it's you and them and HP.
2. We only lose what we don't backup.
Your statement "of Favorites from MSN to IE. This was a feature of IE as I recall. It was very unreliable." is interesting. I never used MSN's software except at shows and demo's. I found it to be not my cup of tea and just used MSN for internet access without the MSN boat.
As to saving favorites from IE to be unreliable, my experience across some hundred moves last year can't find agreement. I can't comment on MSN since it's a bad pot of chili I can't go near.
3. In closing.
Sorry to hear your old friend was stolen. I think you need to CALMLY call the new vendors of what you have and get them to fix your issues. Don't yell, scream at them since they don't respond well to that. Take it as "I paid for this and I want it to work, how do we make it work?"

Whats with the fake 6 months free Msn 8.0 that comes with the machine? The problem is without a credit card # up-front, cant get past the sign in page. Well I have no credit card to offer nor will I ever, not on the Internet.
So do I not get 6 months free?
Is there a site to redownload the MSN 7.0 version that disappeared along with my stolen HP ME computer?
Site signing in, Net passport, yahoo and Msn email and etc should be accessable from any computer right?
Is has not been possible to access the ME Computers Msn Internet (7.0 version) on this XP machine. I realize the seperation of explorer and etc. But I had alot of Web Sites saved in favorites I am dyin to retrieve.
Any suggestions? (Im thinking if I could download 7.0 to the xp machine I could acces this info. 1 reason I believe this theory is because of a transfer or shareing of Favorites from MSN to IE. This was a feature of IE as I recall. It was very unreliable. lol
So, am I dreaming here on ever accessing Msn for saved idems? Perhaps finding an Msn connected computer would conferm if Im wasteing my time. Id be willing to share password info for the account if nessary??? Thanks for any suggestions.
