MSN 9 Can't Find My Intranet DNS

by osensei / March 5, 2004 5:04 AM PST

I had this working before. My website that I'm developing is on my local intranet with no firewall in between. I have my DNS running Bind 8. I was able to access my local webserver (Apache+Tomcat) via the URL before, but now I get the page that says:

The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

DNS seems to be working fine. I can ping the URL via the command line. I can also telnet via the URL, but MSN 9 cannot access my site via the URL. I suspect that my connection settings are at fault but I'm not sure what to change. I think my bone headed teenage son is the culprit.

Any suggestions? About the connection settings I mean. I could use a good adoption agency for the son!

MSN is it's own world. Do normal browsers work?

I'm trying to download Netscape 7 now. Older versions of Netscape have worked in the past though and MSN 9 was previously working, but not today.
