Question

MSI GP70 2qf Leopard Pro Power Issue

Aug 11, 2018 2:10PM PDT

So, to be more specific, my laptop shuts off, from starting it up to the log in screen, when on battery.

It was also doing it after logging in, so I replaced the battery, and it fixed that issue, but for some reason it keeps shutting off from start up. It won't even turn back on until I plug it and start it up.

Maybe it is a ram issue? But I would think that a ram issue would still occur when plugged in..

Maybe a plug issue? But the power supply isn't being used when ran on battery, and it runs on battery after I have logged in, til the battery dies.

I replaced the battery, and like I said it fixed the shut off after start up issue.

Anyone?

This usually is the battery, charger or motherboard issue. The story has me lean to the battery but you changed that so next up is the motherboard.
