Do a search for the file

From Start/Search or just press F3. You didn't mention your OS so this presumes XP. If you find that the file exists but doesn't run from Start/Run this means it's not in the search path. This is correctable. Check to see if the file exists and post back.

tzshng, If you're using Windows 2000 it doesn't come with msconfig. Go to the link below and follow the instrucrions to add msconfig to Windows 2000.

MSCONFIG.EXE (for Windows 2000)
MSCONFIG HELP FILE (for Windows 2000)

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
