msconfig is used in windowx xp to know what applications are loaded where computer starts
what is equivalent instruction in windows 2000

I have never used Windows 2000 but

I found this at DSLReports which has reputable advice.

Also, some programs such as CCleaner and Spybot have tools built in that show you the same thing as MSCONFIG. Not sure if they are there on 2000 or not though.
