You may not see it but the default point size in your table is set to 10 point.
(My default table font is Calibri 11 point.)
You should be able to select your entire table and then force the font size to 12, then when you paste text into the table, using Paste Special, Unformatted text, to then have your inserted text to automatically follow the newly set 12 point size.
Here is one way that I was able to force my entire table to 12 point:
Select just to the left of any one row, and click THREE times. You should see all the rows (the entire table) selected. At that time just change the overall font size to 12.
What I love about MS Word is that it always surprises. I?ve been using Word 2007 for several months and, just when I thought I was making peace with the screwy software, it did something new.
Beginning late yesterday, almost every time I copy/paste text into a newly created table the text enters as 10-point type. Although the document I am working in is all 12-point type, and the text I copied and pasted into the table is 12-point, the text in the table ends up as 10-point.
I cannot remember any changes I?ve made to the program remotely connected to changing the font size of pasted text. Remember, this only happens when I paste into a table. If pasted as regular text elsewhere, the pasted text keeps its original size.
Any guesses about what is going on with my MS Word 2007 (running in XP Pro)? Thanks.
