Hey all.
I have recently reformatted my computer but backed up my word documents onto a different hard drive (that wasn't being formatted), and I have MS office 2003 installed now and it was installed before being reformatted.
Anyway, the problem is that when I open up some of the documents, they come up with gibberish text. A dialogue appears called "File conversion" and asks me to select the appropriate encoding so that I can read the text. The thing is that there are no encoding options that make the document readable - Even "Western European (Windows)" displays gibberish. Can the text be recovered? It's really important ![]()
Can someone please help me????
Thank you.
