I see a checkbox about the app moving to the current space there. I don't have a machine to test if that matters or if there is an option in Word to not follow you. But it appears to me that it could do this.

I have a MacBook Pro OS X Lion and I've started having a problem with Microsoft Word on it. I use multiple desktops and like to keep one application open on each (ex. Internet on one, iTunes on another, MS Word, etc) so that I can swipe back and forth between them. This used to be very handy because each app would stay on its own desktop, but now MS Word follows me to whatever desktop I swipe to. For example, I'll open it on Desktop 3, but then swipe to 1 or 2 and it comes up there as well. Any suggestions? This is getting kind of annoying.
