MS Word 2003 Prints Too Small

by bicohen / December 23, 2008 9:20 PM PST

Word 2003 prints most documents at about 2/3 of their size -- both documents I create and documents I receive from others. No other Office program does this. No other non-Office program does this. I can print these files full-size in Open Office Writer.

I reinstalled Word. No help.

All I can think of

is Print options > Print Scaling.

In the File > Print window you should see an option to "Scale to paper size". If that is set, for example, to print an A4 document to an A5 sized sheet, then that may be the cause.

Other than that I am not sure.

Perhaps others here will have different suggestions.

Thanks for your post. I leave that control at "No Scaling". Paper size is set to letter or legal as appropriate.

An end run.

I had one document that would not print proper. I cheated. I have Adobe so I exported it to the PDF and printed the PDF. It worked so I got my output and never bothered to figure out what Word was up to that day.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
